AICSCC Notification 2018 || STI batch for UPSC Prelims 2018

As expected All India Civil Service Coaching Centre (AICSCC) alias State Training Institute (STI) is going to release its notification Tomorrow. AICSCC Notification 2018 says applications are invited from candidates of Tamilnadu only.

AICSCC or STI is a government of Tamilnadu run institution which provides IAS coaching nearly at free of cost(Rs.1000/year) with free hostel and food. This Institute does not provide coaching for TNPSC or Other competitive exam but only for UPSC Civil Services Examination.

AICSCC Notification 2018:

 

Date of Notification: 20 August 2017 (Yes, we have posted this notification even before their official release)
Admission Opening Date: 21 August 2017
Last Date to Apply: 20 September 2017
Entrance Exam Date:  05.11.2017 (Sunday).
Answer Key can be downloaded on November 6, 2017. Subscribe to our Website to receive answer key in your mail
Duration: Two hours – 10.30 AM – 12.30 PM.
Download Hall Ticket on 20 October 2017
Final Results: 15 November 2017

 

Types of Classes

1) Full time (Residential) and
2) Part-time-Evening (Non-residential)

Vacancies in AICSCC Notification 2018:

Since Government of Tamilnadu maintains this Institute reservation will be provided for Backward class people and Scheduled Castes.

Denotified Castes will be included under Most Backward Classes. Here Other communities have been mentioned instead of General Category, which means Even If someone from Backward Classes scores the first mark they won’t be selected under other communities. Not more than 24 Backward classes aspirant will be selected for part time classes.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Educational Qualification can be any Degree from a recognized University. Final Year students cannot apply as they won’t have degree certificate. Students doing 5-year integrated courses cannot apply until they get completion of the degree. But Students who have finished their college just now and having a provisional certificate can apply.
Your certificate should have been obtained before the last date to apply (Before 20/09/2017).

Age limit (as on 1-8-2018):

OC: 21 to 32 years.
BC/MBC/DNC/BC(M): 21 to 35 years.
SC/ST/SC(A): 21 to 37 years.
Physically challenged: 21 to 42 years.
August 1, 1997 >  Your Date of Birth > August 2, 1986
The aspirants who have already taken full-time courses cannot apply again. Those who have studied already but in Part Time classes can apply for Full-time courses.

Hostel Facility:

->Free coaching and Hostel will be provided for the Full-Time Students.
-> No boarding facility for part time students

Tuition Fees:

Full-time Classes Students- Rs. 1000/- only for the entire course. Only Students from Other Category have to pay this fee. 100% free for SC, ST, OBC aspirants.
Part time classes students – Rs. 3,000/- only for the entire course.
Deposit amount – Rs. 3,000/- have to be paid by both the residential candidates and the Non-residential candidates. This will be returned after UPSC Prelims examination only if you have attended the 2017 Prelims.

Class timings mentioned in AICSCC Notification 2018:

Full-time classes will be conducted on Weekdays only. (Three classes per day between 10 AM- 5 PM and each class will be for 2 hours)
Part-time classes will be conducted on Weekdays (6:30 PM to 8:30 PM) and also on Saturday & Sunday (10:30 PM to 5:30 PM)

 

Procedure to Apply:

This year AICSCC has introduced online mode to apply. We can apply for this coaching from our home for free of cost. This was expected from AICSCC for many years. Thanks to Officials.

Online Mode:  In order to register online (FREE OF COST) for the entrance examination for AICSCC (Preliminary) Examination ‐ 2018. You can apply for AICSCC online through this link ‘Apply Now’.

Offline Mode: The applicants from districts of Tamilnadu other than Chennai can receive their applications from the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Office at the District Collectorates, on all working days, by submitting proof of their age, nativity, and educational qualification and submit it in the same office duly filled.

Certificates needed are

  1. SSLC mark statement or Higher Secondary mark statement
  2. Community Certificate (If claiming for reservation)
  3. Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate.

Syllabus for the Entrance Examination: 

History of India and Indian National Movement, India and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Science, Current Events, General issues on Environmental Ecology, BioDiversity and Climate change.

Yes you can apply. Simply speaking, If you are eligible to apply for UPSC exam and if you are from Tamilnadu then you can apply for STI.

can u pls tell the expected cut off for other community for this entrance test. in 2016 result u have two cutoff 110 and 118 for part time other community coaching ..which is the real one in between them ..110 or 118 ..kindly let us know ..thank you

Hi.. I noticed from the official answer key that the answer for question no.78 in booklet series C is given wrong. The correct answer should be option d.antecedent drainage and not c.consequent drainage. Is there any way to send representation challenges online or via email?

They have given it right. Please check it once again. Answer key provided by them says antecedent drainage. If the answer key has wrong answer only for question paper series c please call them or mail them immediately.
