Hi Friends I have uploaded All India Civil Service Coaching Centre (AICSCC) Entrance Exam question paper held on November 23, 2014. AICSCC gives free coaching for the aspirants of UPSC civil Services examination 2016. The aspirants were selected through merit system by conducting Entrance Examination. I’m uploading this year question paper so that answer key can be easily decoded using B type of question paper. It will be also useful for next year aspirants who will be googling Previous year question papers of AICSCC.
Question Paper Analysis:
I expect this year the cutoff will be around 100 for OBC and 90 for SC, SC(A), 105+ for General Category. The cutoff is constantly keep on rising for year to year. this year there will be rise but not to the range of mountains. Since the question paper does not has negative marks marking 50 questions correctly would surely make you to crack this exam.
Total number of questions asked was 100. All questions carry equal mark and each question caries 2 marks. Total marks for which exam is conducted – 200. This 2 hour exam does not have negative marks. The CSAT paper and General Studies Paper were combined as a single paper and so it is enough to write only one paper.
Ratio of Questions:
Science 19 Questions ( Chemistry 1 Question; Physics – 10 Questions; Biology – 8 Questions); Indian Polity 15 Questions; Current Affairs 14 Questions; Economics 14 Questions; History 13 Questions (Ancient India 6 questions; Medieval India 3 Questions; Modern India 4 Questions); Geography 13 Questions; CSAT 12 Questions (Logical Reasoning – 7 Questions; Quantitative Aptitude 5 Questions).
This year Question paper is bit like a TNPSC question paper since most of the questions are from Biology and Physics. Less Concern were given to Environmental science and General Knowledge. Last year there were 20% of questions for CSAT but this year only 12 questions were asked even though CSAT appears to be the main paper which decides our qualification to write Mains Examination. In History many questions were from Ancient India which shows the UPSC trend as they will give importance to Art and Culture. UPSC Civil Service Examination was full of EVS questions by this year but only one question was asked in AICSCC. Economics and Indian polity were given good weight-age. For Indian Polity most of the questions are on basis on facts rather than concept oriented questions.
